Liebe Freunde,

wir möchten uns aus tiefstem Herzen ganz herzlich bei euch für dieses wundervolle Festival bedanken. Wir haben zusammen ein Festival gezaubert, welches Nachklang findet. Unser Dank geht an all diejenigen, die als Künstler, Gäste oder Helfer zum Gelingen des 6. Festivals für Freunde beigetragen haben.

2018 war etwas Besonderes für uns, da wir uns substantiell vergrößern konnten und auch mussten! Im letzten Jahr sind wir an unsere Kapazitätsgrenzen gestoßen, was die Zahl der Zuschauer im Kino bei den Theatervorstellungen angeht. Das spannendste Abenteuer war für uns daher dieses Jahr die Eröffnung des Theaterstalls, ein ehemaliger LPG Kuhstall etwa 300m vom Kerngelände entfernt, den wir zu einer Theaterbühne inklusive Zuschauertribüne umbauen durften. Wir hatten so viele Zuschauer wie noch nie und alle haben Platz gefunden in unseren neuen Theaterstall. Wir haben uns aber nicht nur in der Anzahl der Zuschauer vergrößert, sowohl das Budget, als auch die Anzahl der Helfer sind mehr geworden. Wir waren uns nicht sicher, ob wir ein derart sprunghaftes Wachstum stolperfrei organisiert bekommen, aber es hat funktioniert! An dieser Stelle einen großen Dank an die vielen Helferlein, die uns an der Bar, an der Kasse, beim Essen oder beim Auf- und Abbau unterstützt haben.

 

In diesem Sinne möchten wir uns bei allen Dahnsdorfern und Menschen aus der Umgebung bedanken, die uns so tatkräftig unterstützt haben. Bei der Feuerwehr Dahnsdorf, den Frauen aus dem Dorf, die für uns ganz viele Kuchen ehrenamtlich gebacken haben, beim Tischler der uns Holzstämme als Sitze ausgeliehen hat, beim Theater Strumpfhose, die uns Requisiten vorbei gebracht haben und bei einer wunderbaren Familie, die fast alle unsere Festivalbändchen geflochten hat. Danke für diese wunderbare Unterstützung vor Ort. Alle diese kleinen Dingen runden das Festival zu einem gesamten schönen Erlebnis ab.

 

Es gab so viele Highlights auf diesem Festival, das man es gar nicht alles aufzählen kann. Wer hat nicht alles im Dunkeln den Dschungel entdeckt und die Discokugel gefunden oder ist dem Hai über den Weg gelaufen?! Die ganze Nacht konnte man dort sitzen und dem Leuchten der Discostrahlen zuschauen. Wir haben unser Ziel erreicht, den Hof Dahnsdorf selbst als den zentralen Sammelplatz und Aufenthaltsort zu etablieren. Und so haben wir ein ganzes Festivalzentrum bekommen, das durch euch zum Leben erweckt wurde! Gleich drei Geburtstage haben wir am Samstag gefeiert bei diesem Festival! Bitte mehr davon!

Jedes Jahr kommen viele Familien zu uns und das erfüllt uns mit Stolz, den wir haben dieses Jahr versucht ein schönes Programm für Kinder und Erwachsene am Nachmittag zusammen zu stellen und wenn man die Kinder beobachtet hat, waren viele höchst konzentriert beim Havel Spuk am Sonntag und auch beim Puppentheater. Das freut uns besonders, da wir dieses Festival auch deswegen in Dahnsdorf veranstalten, damit junge Familien und Kinder Kunst und Kultur in ihrer Umgebung erleben können. Das extra Familien zum Kindertheater angereist sind hat uns sehr bereichert und wir werden weiter daran arbeiten diesen Schwerpunkt auszubauen und zu gestalten. Auch die Mal-Ecke erfreute sich wieder großen Zuspruch unter den Kleinen und Großen und wir hoffen ihr habt alle eure selbstgemalten Bilder mitgenommen und sie in eurem Zimmer aufgehängt.

 

Unser Freundeskreis wird immer größer und so viele liebe Menschen arbeiten an diesem Projekt, an der Utopie und an diesen vier Tagen, wo das Experiment tatsächlich aufgeht und sich Stadt und Dorf trifft. In einem gemeinsamen Dialog und das erfüllt unser Herz mit Freude.

 

Wir danken natürlich an dieser Stelle auch und explizit allen Förderern, die es uns erst ermöglicht haben, dieses Festival zu finanzieren. Zu allererst wäre da die Kulturstiftung des Bundes zu nennen, die uns quasi im Alleingang die Ausstattung des Theaterstalls ermöglicht hat.

 

Ebenso großer Dank gilt dem Kulturfeste des Landes Brandenburg e.V., die sich nun schon seit drei Jahren als zuverlässiger Partner an unserer Seite zeigen und es uns erst ermöglicht haben und nach wie vor ermöglichen, dass wir die Künstler angemessen entlohnen können!

 

Wir danken dem Landkreis Potsdam Mittelmark, die uns zum einen finanziell unterstützen, und zum anderen das Chaos jedes Jahr genehmigen, dass wir dort veranstalten.

 

Neben dem Landkreis hat uns auch die Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse in diesem Jahr mit einer höheren Zuwendung als noch im letzten Jahr gefördert. Auch dafür unser Dank!

 

Zu guter Letzt gilt der Dank natürlich allen privaten Spendern und Vereinsmitgliedern, die wir aufgrund der neuen Datenschutzverordnung leider nicht namentlich nennen dürften! Ihr seid es, die uns die Spielräume ermöglichen, die uns die freie Gestaltung erlauben.

 

Wir haben viel gelernt in diesem Jahr, haben auch etwas Lehrgeld bezahlen müssen, aber sind fest entschlossen, im nächsten Jahr noch bunter und freundschaftlicher zu werden.

Dear friends,

 

We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this wonderful festival. We conjured up a festival together, which echoes. Our thanks go to all those who contributed as artists, guests or helpers to the success of the 6th Festival for Friends.

2018 was something special for us, because we could and had to enlarge substantially!

 

Last year we reached the limits of our capacity in terms of the number of cinema-goers at the theatrical performances. The most exciting adventure for us this year was therefore the opening of the “theatrestable”, a former LPG  (DDR-collective farm) cowshed about 300m from the core festival area, which we could convert into a theatre stage including grandstand. We had more spectators than ever before, and everyone found a place in our new theatre stable. But we have not only increased in the number of spectators, both the budget and the number of helpers has increased. We weren't sure if we could get such a volatile growth organized without stumbling, but it worked!

 

At this point a big thank you to the many little helpers who supported us at the bar, at the cash desk, with the food or with the assembly and disassembly.

 

In this spirit we would like to thank all the people of Dahnsdorf and people from the surrounding vicinity who supported us so actively. To the Dahnsdorf fire brigade, the women from the village who baked a lot of cakes for us on a voluntary basis, at the carpenter who lent us logs as seats, at the theatre tights who brought us props and at a wonderful family who braided almost all our festival ribbons. Thank you for this wonderful support on site. All these little things round off the festival and make it into an overall beautiful experience.

 

There were so many highlights at this festival that you can't list all of them. Who hasn't discovered the jungle in the dark and found the disco ball or run into the shark?! The whole night you could sit and watch the disco beams shine. We have achieved our goal of establishing the manor Dahnsdorf itself as the central meeting place and residence. Therefore we got a whole festival center that was brought to life by all of you! We celebrated three birthdays on Saturday during this festival! More moments like those, please!

Every year many families come to us and this fills us with pride, as we have tried to put together a nice program for children and adults in the afternoon. When you watched the children closely, many were happily involved in the Havel Spuk (the Havel skare) on Sunday and also at the puppet theatre later that day. We are especially happy about this, because we organize this festival in Dahnsdorf so that young families and children can experience art and culture in their surroundings. The families who have travelled to the children's theatre have enriched us a lot and we will continue to work on expanding and shaping this angle for the young people and families. Also, the painting corner was great popular again among the small and big ones and we hope you took all your self-painted pictures with you and hung them up in your room.

 

Our circle of friends is getting bigger and bigger and so many dear people are working on this project, on the utopia and especially on these four days of the festival, where the experiment really comes to life and when large town meets small village. In a common dialogue and that fills our hearts with joy.

 

Of course, we would like to take this opportunity to explicitly thank all sponsors who made it possible for us to finance this festival in the first place. First, there is the Federal Cultural Foundation, which enabled us to equip the theatre stable on our own. 

We are also very grateful to the Kulturfeste des Landes Brandenburg e. V. , who have been a reliable partner for us for three years now and who have helped us and still make it possible for us to reward the artists appropriately! 

 

We thank the Landkreis Potsdam Mittelmark, who on the one hand support us financially and on the other hand approve the chaos every year that we organize there.

In addition to the administrative district, the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse also supported us this year with a higher grant than last year. Full gratitude for that as well!

Finally, we would like to thank all private donors and members of the association, who we are unfortunately not allowed to name due to the new data protection regulation! You are the ones who give us the freedom to create our own things.

 

We have learnt a lot this year, we have also had to learn some lessons, but we are determined to become even more colorful and friendly next year.
